Chilling at Starbucks
…with my new roommate Lauren! Trying to take advantage of the air conditioning here lol hopefully we get to chat and better know each other.
Today was a boring and frustrating day at work. Boss is in Turkey apparently? Lucky him! Too bad I’m like clueless about my project and presentation haha. Hope my meeting tomorrow goes well!

Danielle cooked a lot of food for me, which was super nice. It made me wish I had a kitchen even more, but it’s okay. Saw their new loft! It’s definitely a nicer living arrangement than where I live haha the kitchen, ac, and washer/dryer makes it kind of a no brainer. Although… Jenny is lame for leaving so much...
So Hot
Don’t want to go home after work because it’s so hot. Ate so much Chinese food for dinner lol and now reading quamut guides at Barnes & Noble. Called mom… Hopefully will buy tickets home by tonight!

Davin and I tried again to go to a free concert last night and it was cancelled because of rioting and safety issues… Crazy. It was on the news this morning and the footage of the rioting was pretty intense. Lol will we ever successfully see a concert? Hopefully.

Cycling class was taught by a guy 3x my size width-wise, and he didn’t do half the workout.

NYC 4 - Last Night
I was lost in NYC. Really scary. Ate yummy noodles. Failed to see Norah Jones, but I can now officially say I’ve been to Brooklyn. Watched more Modern Family. Hilarious. Got more assignments at work. Had a meeting with supervisor and database guy. Kept hitting supervisors pen.
NYC 3 - Exhausted
Long day. Lots of work and meetings. Lunch with the Business Cycle Indicators team and my supervisor. Kind of intimidating, but I think we had a few good conversations. Oh, we had a reception with really good thin mint cookies. That was nice of them. NYC 2 - First Day At Work
The Conference Board is very well organized and welcoming of their interns, that’s for sure. The fellowship started off well with a group orientation. Got my email, telephone, and access stuff all set up. I like my desk (near my supervisor but I still have some privacy), and people walk by to say hello, which is nice. NYC - Day 1
Arrived at jfk. Redeye flight was exhausting especially with crying babies behind me. Cabbed, but was pulled over within two minutes for a red light violation. Thought we were in a lot of trouble and caused a delay, but it was okay in the end. The driver made sure not to get a speeding violation on top of that lol.
